Postal rate increase in effect today
by John Lauber on May 11, 2009
Today is the day the newest postal rates take effect. Regular mail has risen from .42 to .44 cents for the first ounce. Postcards have risen to .28 cents.
If you have the “Forever” stamps they’ll work with the new rates. However, starting today you’ll be paying $.02 more for the same.
For even more information, see the US Postal Service page with all the newest prices.
Time to run out and grab some .02 cent stamps.
