Mid-Year Check for June 2008

Here we are, 6 months into 2008 and time to check on how we’ve been doing so far in Chester County. As you can see from the chart above the number of units sold has increased steadily since January. While not in the chart, the days on market has decreased steadily with a current average around 66 days on market. From a high of 95, that’s a good thing.

This next chart (average sold price) looks a little up and down, though it’s actually been fairly steady. It did jump in June to just over $400K, but I’m think it will remain more steady as the year progresses. Chester County has been holding value, even growing, fairly steadily, but it hasn’t been making huge leaps. The average listed price is in the range of $455-465K for the year.
